Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College

Starting of the Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College under the aegis of Nangelil Charitable Trust (Reg.No.SR/P/3-2001) in 2002 was a milestone in the growth of the Trust considering the facilities, Govt of Kerala had accorded sanction and approval to start the Ayurveda and conducts Ayurveda Acharya (BAMS) 51/2 year course envisaged and approved by the NCISM New Delhi. This is fully under the governance of the board of directors of the trust and Mr.M.E.Sasi is the president of the Trust. The College was initially affiliated to M G University and later in 2010 got affiliated to the Kerala University for Health Sciences. Admission procedures are strictly as per the guidelines of the Govt of Kerala stipulated time to time. Currently the admission capacity is 60 per year out of which 100% will be through NEET entrance examination. Currently 300 students are studying in this institution and 60 doing HouseSurgency (internship). Our institution is led by Dr.Sunil P V , an Esteemed Principal and a Renowned Clinician

A TRADITION TRANSLATING TO NEW ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Starting of the Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College under the ageis of Nangelil Charitable Trust (Reg.No.SR/P/3-2001). Nangelil Charitable Trust ensuring the participation of the elite public in order to diversity the activities in a systematic manner. The College is fully under the governance of the Board of Directors of the Trust. Mr.M.E. Sasi, a retired businessman is the President and Dr. Vijayan Nangelil, a doyen in the field of marma chikitsa is the secretary of Nangelil Charitable Trust. Considering the facilities, Govt of Kerala had accorded sanction and approval to start the Ayurveda College, vide GOMS No 225/H&FWD dated 28.08.2002, and permission was also granted to conduct Para-medical courses here. This college is a self-financing institution started with the aim to impart authentic wisdom of Ayurveda and conducts Ayurveda Acharya (BAMs) 51/2 years course envisaged and approved by the NCISM vide letter FNo.4-10/2002/Ay(1) dated 22.07.02 of CCIM New Delhi.

The College was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University for degree course from the academic year 2001-2002 and later in 2010 got affiliated to the Kerala University for Health Sciences. Admission to degree course till the Academic year 2009-10 was under M.G University. The first branch under KUHS was admitted in the academic year 2010 2011. Admission procedures are strictly as per the guidelines of the Govt of Kerala stipulated time to time. Currently the admission capacity is 60 per year out of which 85% will be through entrance examinations conducted by the state. The rest 15% shall be treated as management and NRI quota seats. The candidates should have passed the qualiftying examination with minimum of 50% marks.
